Carly is dedicated to helping individuals develop a strong a sense of self and a powerful voice. She started her clinical practice in 2009 when she opened up Find Your Voice Counselling in Burlington and now practices mainly out of Hamilton and is thrilled to add her work at Thrive to her current private practice.
Carly is a trained Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapy and has clinical training in CBT, ACT, DBT, Mindfulness based therapy among other evidenced based techniques of Psychotherapy. She will help you to recognize and work through negative thoughts and behaviours that are preventing you from living the life you want to lead and the life you deserve. She provides a safe, non-judgmental and therapeutic space where you can begin to heal.
Carly devoted her research at McMaster University to Eating Disorders and has specialized in the treatment of complex cases of Eating Disorders since 2009. She has experience treating individuals with Anxiety, Depression, OCD, PTSD, Eating Disorders and challenges related to life stressors and finding balance. Carly seeks to disempower mental illness by continuing to help individuals increase their self-esteem, confidence, self-worth, body image, and ultimately helping them to Find Their Voice. She is passionate about putting as much emphasis on healing our minds as we do on healing our bodies. She is confident that working with a variety of different specialists at Thrive will add depth and opportunities to everyone she works with.
