Meet the Team

Meet Robyn: Pelvic Health & Orthopedic Physiotherapist

We are excited to welcome Robyn Synnott, Pelvic Health and Orthopedic Physiotherapist to our family of Thrive practitioners!

Robyn is a pelvic health and orthopedic physiotherapist with a passion for trauma-informed care. She practices with a focus on people with chronic pain and/or stress, and pelvic health for people with a vagina throughout their life.

She is a CYA-E-RYT500 yoga teacher and has unique training in perinatal care, nursing support, and as a physio-doula. Throughout 15 years as a physiotherapist, she has pursued extensive training in chronic/persistent pain, stress and trauma, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, communication, and advocacy.

Robyn aspires to help people to learn to trust and appreciate their body, to empower them to take charge of their health and wellness, and to focus their treatment on what is important to them. She strives to approach all her interactions with compassionate curiosity and a trauma-sensitive perspective. She has a passion for helping people in the perinatal period of their lives to feel confident in the strength that their body holds during pregnancy, birth, nursing, and parenting.

Robyn has always enjoyed teaching and mentoring other physiotherapists and health care professionals. In recent years, she has created and teaches “Becoming a Resilient Practitioner with a Trauma-Sensitive Practice” to help other practitioners learn how to confidently integrate trauma-informed care into their practice, and to learn more about themselves while doing it. She is co-creator and co-teaches “Labour and Birth Preparation for Clinical Practice” for health practitioners that want to support clients in the perinatal period.

In her down time, Robyn enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter. She loves to explore the outdoors either by hiking, spending time by the water, gardening, and/or traveling. She collaborates with the YWCA and Shifra homes; both causes that she holds close to her heart.

Booking is now open online.  New clients need to book an Initial Assessment prior to follow up appointments.  Typically, initial assessments are done virtually.  If you have any questions, please reach out to the clinic or Robyn.  Billed as Physiotherapy, direct billing is available if your plan allows for this option.
