CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system.  The craniosacral system is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.

Using light manual therapy techniques, restrictions in the craniosacral system can be released. This has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body such as: digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more. CST has also been shown to help with the physical components related to such somatic conditions as Post Traumatic Stress, depression and anxiety. CST is effective in treating headaches, neck and back pain, post concussion symptoms, stress and tension related problems, and other nervous system disorders.

CST helps facilitate the body’s natural and innate healing processes, and can be used as a preventive health measure. Craniosacral Therapy improves the body’s overall ability to provide SELF-CARE.

This treatment can generally be done while the client is fully clothed. It is a wonderful therapy to integrate in with a mental health practice and works well in conjunction with talk therapy.

Jenn Zinn, RMT is now accepting new clients for CST and registered massage therapy. Book here!
