Pelvic Health and Orthopedic Physiotherapy: Welcome Robyn Synnott, PT

Sep 3, 2024

We are thrilled to welcome Robyn Synnott, Pelvic Health and Orthopedic Physiotherapist, to our team at Thrive.

Robyn joins us early September and is welcoming new clients into her practice.  We are super excited to share more about Robyn and her experience, her practice focus and her services.

Robyn has worked as a Physiotherapist in Halton for over 12 years, with a strong focus on osteopathic techniques and pain science.  She has since narrowed her focus and has completed extensive, specialized training in pelvic health.  She is also a Certified Registered CYA-E-RYT500 Yoga Teacher with Canadian Yoga Alliance.  Many of you may already be familiar with Robyns previous practice: Ebb & Flow.

Robyn has a special interest in helping people with a vagina in their reproductive years to feel empowered and to have confidence in the strength that their body holds. She has extensive training in healthy menstrual cycles, fertility, pregnancy, labour/birth, postpartum, pain science, and nursing (breastfeeding and chestfeeding) support.  Her training also includes methods to help infants with the mechanics of nursing. She approaches treatment using a biopsychosocial-spiritual model of care that truly values the importance of the body, mind, and spirit and includes integrative medicine that addresses lifestyle factors that might be contributing to each clients concerns.

Most recently, Robyn has extended her training and research into the area of stress and the effects of trauma.  She approaches her interactions with a trauma-informed lens and strives to help clients with curiousity and without judgement.

Robyn is one of a select few Canadian physiotherapists that have gone through advanced skills training in labour and birth, and nursing support. Robyn has clinical experience in myofascial release and osteopathic techniques such as craniosacral therapy.

She enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and kids; as well as yoga and hiking in her spare time.  She loves to garden and cook.  When she gets the chance, she loves to travel and explore new places and cultures.
