Update Re: COVID-19 May 1st

May 1, 2020

As most of us are aware, as of this week, there seems to be some light at the end of this quarantine tunnel but it is still a ways away. We remain hopeful!

** Our Temporary closure continues until June 1st, at which time, with the most recent information and government/governing body guidelines, we will reconnect with our next steps **

As we wait to see the rollout of the provincial governments framework (https://www.ontario.ca/page/framework-reopening-our-province) and some official timelines, our clinic space remains closed. Please know that although Health Care Practitioners like us may fall within one of the upcoming “Phases” of reopening, what that looks like and the new protocols and procedures that are created, may well change how we provide care. Please rest assured that we as a team, are ahead of the curve, implementing safety measures such as acrylic “sneeze guard” stands at the desk, ordering stock of masks/gloves and creating updated standards of care for everything from disinfecting surfaces to laundering linens. We have your, and our, health interests at heart and will stay current and effective in our goal to reopen and provide care ASAP.

The message from health officials and government remains the same: STAY HOME, continue PHYSICAL DISTANCING. The wellness services we offer including Massage Therapy and Osteopathy continue to be deemed “non-essential”. Our RMT’s and our Osteopathic Practitioner simply cannot see clients at this time. Chiropractic appointments are strictly for emergency or acute care.

Please note we WILL update you if there are changes in the timeline to any of these services before June 1st.

For Emergency Essential Chiropractic care see information below. Registered Psychotherapy appointments continue to be available through a virtual forum, see more information below.

** If you have wellness appointments booked up to June 1st, please assume they will be cancelled, but do look for communication from your health care practitioners as they will connect with each of you individually to confirm that you are aware of the most recent changes and look at options for long term rescheduling and also, just to check in on you!

Our closure includes the in-Studio classes held by Sue Abell in the Studio @ Thrive. Connect with Sue for online class options HERE.

Please take an opportunity to connect with us on our social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook & Twitter, we are still here and we love sharing with you!

Registered Psychotherapy:

Connect with our mental health practitioners to discuss options for virtual Registered Psychotherapy appointments. These are unprecedented times and it is normal to struggle with overwhelming and ever changing emotions. We are here to help you stay connected and to help you move through the uncertainty of the days ahead and the continued every day concerns you might be facing.

Clients requiring EMERGENCY/ACUTE or “ESSENTIAL” chiropractic care* at the discretion of Dr. Clutton and subject to a full prior screening, may contact him directly at drclutton@thrivemassagewellness.com with any questions about what “essential treatment” is, or to request an appointment.

Clients must meet the following criteria and NOT have any of the following:

1.  Travelled out of province within the last 14 days

2.  Feeling ill with any flu/cold/Covid-19 symptoms (Fever, Cough, Shortness of breath)

3.  You are over age 65

4.  Have underlying medical conditions of the heart and lungs (e.g. heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, cancer)

5.  Have a compromised immune system from a medical condition or treatment (e.g. chemotherapy)

6. Is or has been in contact with anyone meeting the above criteria in the last 14 days.

In an attempt to limit filling your inbox with messaging, we will connect again just prior to June 1st on a mass email level, but you may hear from your independent Health Care Practitioners within that time.

Until then, take good care of yourselves and your loved ones, stay hopeful and know that we continue to support those of you who are on the frontlines helping us through this very difficult time. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at any time. We are incredibly grateful for your ongoing support and look forward to seeing you in the not too distant future.
