Why Do People Seek Acupuncture?
People come to acupuncture for many different reasons. Treatment is individualized based on your health history, symptoms and goals and may be used to support concerns such as:
Pain & Muscle Tension
Neck and back discomfort, headaches, jaw tension, joint pain, muscle tension and repetitive strain.
Stress, Sleep & Overall Well-Being
Stress, tension, sleep concerns and support for overall well-being.
Women’s Health
Menstrual concerns and symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause.
Digestive Concerns
Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine may also be incorporated into care for a variety of digestive concerns.
Your treatment plan will depend on your individual needs and may evolve over time as your symptoms and goals change.
New to Acupuncture?
It’s completely normal to have questions before your first acupuncture treatment—especially if you’re unsure what to expect from the needles.
Acupuncture needles are extremely fine and are very different from the needles used for injections or blood tests. Sensation varies from person to person and from point to point. Some people barely notice insertion, while others may experience a brief sensation, mild tingling, heaviness or sensitivity.
Your first appointment also isn’t simply about needles. Naheed will take time to discuss your health history, current concerns and treatment goals before developing an individualized treatment plan.
Depending on your needs, treatment may also incorporate other Traditional Chinese Medicine approaches such as acupressure, cupping or Gua Sha.
Contact our clinic to arrange a complimentary Discovery Call with Naheed to discuss your concerns and whether acupuncture may be a good fit for you.
