Welcome Jenn Mesaric, RMT!

May 7, 2021

UPDATE** Jennifer has finally received her registration number from the CMTO and is ready to accept new clients!! Her calendar is up and running online! Please note that it will take some time for direct billing to be accessible for her clients (registration takes 10 business days or so), so bear with us and be prepared to pay out of pocket for a short time 🙂

Jennifer graduated from the Ontario College of Health and Technology in April 2020, and passed her exams (mid pandemic!) with the CMTO May of 2021.  She is eagerly awaiting her registration number to begin practicing! We will update you when Jenn is able to start booking clients.

During her massage therapy studies, Jenn was fascinated and intrigued learning about how all  the body systems work together, especially how the connective tissue (fascia) can be  manipulated to increase flexibility and reduce adhesions as well as reduce the appearance of  scars. She loves to incorporate cupping techniques into her treatments as well as the  traditional Swedish massage techniques, trigger point therapy and assisted stretching!  She is hoping to continue her studies and add lymphatic drainage training to her massage therapist toolkit before the end of the year.

Due to the pandemic, Jenn was sadly delayed in completing her provincial exams so she took  the opportunity to use the time and further her training with Reflexology certification. She loves how the principles of Reflexology can have a dramatic effect on the fascial meridians of the body. It’s amazing how working directly on the feet can improve dysfunction throughout the legs and hips. It’s been associated with improved blood flow, digestive issues, and plantar fasciitis, among many others!

Jenn started her career in the Visual Arts field and quickly developed a love of creating/using artistic displays to increase sales. This training and career path allowed her the opportunity to travel extensively while training others and further grow her interpersonal skill set. After getting married and experiencing some health issues, Jenn became interested in a more holistic approach to life which led to a desire for a better work/life balance. So, at the age 40, she  decided to make a drastic career change in the hopes of helping others. Going back to school to become an RMT was one of the most rewarding things she has ever done and she is excited  to continue to grow and learn with the Thrive family and connect with our community of clients.

Jenn lives in Burlington with her husband Jeff and their two spoiled ragdoll cats Frank and Lola. In her spare time, she enjoys being active whether it being training for a road race, hiking or camping. She loves to relax with a good book and dreams of the day that we can all travel  again.
