1. What do you love about your profession?
I love the reward of being able to help people, I love providing a safe space for each and everyone of my clients, I love the different challenges each body and injury presents with, utilizing my problem solving skills on a daily basis, and working alongside some of the best health care practitioners around.
2. Why did you become an RMT?
Having been a high level athlete I had my fair share of injuries, massage therapy helped me a ton when I was younger, that mixed with my love of human anatomy.. it was the perfect fit in every aspect of the career!
3. Do you have any additional training as an RMT that people might want to know?
I am Certified in Myofascial Cupping, and tend to use it regularly throughout treatment.
I am also Level 1 Certified for Visceral Manipulation. Something I find very intriguing and something I would love to continue my education in!
4. If you weren’t an RMT, what would you be?
Prior to becoming an RMT I was considering taking kinesiology and getting into chiropractic, or even teaching! But starting with massage was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made – life tends to take you in unexpected directions if you’re willing to open doors to new opportunities – by starting my career life as an RMT it has made it possible for me to have not only found a second career through connections that this job brought to me (becoming a flight attendant) but it provides me with the ability to have two amazing careers that work very well together.
5. Tell us one thing you are passionate about outside of your work 🙂
I am passionate about living life. Surrounding myself in things that are important to me, self growth and awareness, exploring new places in the world and having good meaningful conversations.
In the world of massage, I’m passionate about making others feel safe and supported in a non judgemental space- something we all deserve in life. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of other people’s journey and personal wellness and it helps me continue my own self growth and awareness
