Meet the Team

Meet Lindsey:  Registered Massage Therapist

We have loved having Lindsey join our Thrive Team! Her positive attitude is contagious and while she brings humour and levity to our space, her practice is based in care and compassion and a deep connection of mind and body.

Lindsey has been a practicing RMT since July 2001. Originally practicing in Nova Scotia, Lindsey re-certified with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario in 2018 and brought her RMT skills here to Burlington. Lindsey’s passion is connecting mind to body and she integrates mindfulness seamlessly into her hands-on therapy.

Lindsey is trained in Swedish Massage, Fascial stretch therapy level 1 & 2, intra-oral work, guasha therapy and manual connective tissue therapy.  She also has pure essential oil training and believes in healing the mind and body using a variety of techniques.

Lindsey treats a variety of clients, however she has a passion for treating scar tissue and helping those who seek emotional balancing from overwhelm, stress and grief.   Her scar tissue work has lead her to work with many people who have had breast cancer and  undergone mastectomies, lumpectomies and reconstructive surgery.  The goal with these treatments is to improve mobility within the scar and surrounding tissue and to teach people techniques so they feel confident and empowered to treat their own bodies at home,  She uses a combination of massage, emotional tools and fascial techniques within these sessions.

She also enjoys treating intra-orally (inside the mouth) and she devotes herself to treating the TMJ joint with intra-oral techniques..  Many people suffer from chronic headaches, jaw pain, clenching. Neck pain, ear pain and sinus congestion.  These treatments are very effective for many people to help reduce their symptoms.

What Lindsey loves most is the gift of healing. “Being able to help a person on their wellness journey brings me a sense of joy”.

Outside of her practice, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her 2 boys, working out, practicing yoga, biking, exploring nutrition and spending time outside. Following her love of connecting mind and body, she recently created MindShift: a deck of Therapeutic Affirmation cards to use as a daily wellness tool to help “unwind the mind and calm the body”. @mindshiftmassage on instagram
