Meet the Team

Meet Tammy Sherwood: RMT and Owner of Thrive Massage Therapy & Wellness

Tammy has been practicing as an RMT since 2016 and has certified in multiple, additional modalities along the way. Pregnancy Massage, Athletic Taping, Cupping, Facial Cupping & Guasha, Acupressure and Acupuncture techniques are incorporated most frequently in her practice.

Her genuine commitment to her clients whole body wellness and a desire to create a team of people who share the same philosophy is what motivated the creation of Thrive Massage Therapy & Wellness.

Tammy started Thrive in 2006 with the hope of offering a “whole wellness” practice for the community. Looking to create a multi-disciplinary environment, with a warm, welcoming feel making it the destination for people to go for self care, including both physical and mental wellness.

Many years later, Thrive has grown to include numerous practitioners, offering massage therapy, chiropractic, osteopathic techniques, acupuncture and registered psychotherapy. We continue to grow, striving to provide the community with the best in wellness options and professionals. With a keen focus on connecting with other like minded partners in the community and all things benevolent, you will often find Tammy and the Thrive team making new professional connections and working on assisting local charitable initiatives in house.

When Tammy isn’t practicing as an RMT or managing the behind the scenes business functioning of Thrive, she is playing mom to her 2 sons who are avid participants in all of Thrive’s wonders. Typically, she can be found in clinic (running a wee bit behind) seeing clients, trying to snap pictures of our amazing team, racing to get kids, trying to figure out the never ending technology challenges or just snacking on a green apple with almond butter.

Pilates and walking the dog help keep her moving and good weekly talk therapy keeps her balanced. Every now and then she even takes care of herself seeing the many awesome practitioners at Thrive.
